Born To Dive is owned by two everyday normal guys Jason and Giro that have a passion for travel, scuba diving, family, friends and fun. The guys have taken their passions and turned them into the best ways to go from “Door To Shore” with no stress. As the dive group grows with each of our adventures and strangers become lifelong friends Jason and Giro are seeing their vision become a reality.
Jason & Giro met in 2013, while working Live Events together throughout the US. Through a lot of traveling and time together, they became friends and began to add their interests and Families to the mix. Jason shared his passion for Scuba Diving… and the rest is History!
Jason & Giro were part Owners in a small Scuba Shop in St. Augustine, FL and with both their love of diving and travel; spun off Born To Dive Travel.
The two each possess unique qualities and areas of expertise, that together make the most stress-free and enjoyable trips that you will have. They each take a one-on-one approach with their clients to provide all the details needed, without making it a confusing mess.

Meet Jason & Giro
Jason Ellins
NAUI Instructor / Owner
Jason Ellins is one of the two founders and owners of Born to Dive Travel where their moto is “Door to Shore”. Jason has put his passion for travel and his passion for scuba diving together to create a one stop shop for divers and non-divers that want to travel to exotic locations without the worry and stress that normally comes with international travel. Jason as a NUAI Instructor and a previous owner of iDive Florida has been interictally involved in the scuba diving industry for over 16 years. Jason has also been a Motorsports Announcer for 35 years and through that endeavor has travelled the world. Jason’s experience with international travel is what he wants to share with you to make “Door to Shore” the easiest experience ever! Jason has not stopped there, he has made it a family affair as his wife of 27 years Catherine and his two boys, 27 -year-old Zack and 23 -year-old Alex are all part of the traveling and diving adventure. So, he has one last question for you “What are you wading for”?
Giro Maderazzo
Owner & NAUI Certified Master Diver.
Giro Maderazzo aka “G” took the Giant Stride into the Diving World back in 2016 and fell in love with the Sport and friendships that were formed. He is a currently a NAUI Certified Master Diver. He was one of the previous Owners of iDive Florida and is one of the two Founders of Born to Dive Travel. Since Giro lives in Arizona, destination diving was his only real option! With almost 3 decades of experience in coordinating Events as a Live Event Promoter all over the World, merging the two skills made for a perfect fit. The desire to make international travel simple with the knowledge gained over the years, gave birth the “Door to Shore” concept. The goal to take all of the headache and worry over international travel so that our customers can simply enjoy themselves, is what Born to Dive strives for. Giro, his wife Lisa, daughters Leah (15) and Zoey (12), and son Enzo (3) all look forward on seeing you on their next adventure!
